We visited with 10 guests and let ourselves be pampered by the Italian cuisine. The accompanying wine was also very good. We look forward to the next visit.
Very tasty food, although I miss the pizza! 4 stars, as quite expensive for the portions
great restaurant, nice professional staff garnished with super delicious food. brilliant
Today we visited Il Bagutta for the first time by recommendation and we were not disappointed! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Very great, friendly team, nice atmosphere, large selection of wines and delicious food! Price / service / performance is on point! I had the pasta with veal bolognese as recommended by the waitress! 10/10! Finally, we had the pistachio mascarpone, which gave us a great end to the evening! Full recommendation on my part! Keep it up!
Totally cozy location with delicious food. YUMMY!
The food is really amazing! For about 25 € you can order a 3 course. Even someone who is very hungry will be really full here. The service is great. I really recommend it to everyone!
Authentic and tasty. Lunch is also great and relatively inexpensive.
The surprise! A really great restaurant, hidden behind a simple exterior facade. We were able to try all the dishes during a meeting and I'm thrilled.
We were invited to dinner there for a wedding. The food was delicious; the location beautiful; the service very friendly;
Great hosts. Mega food. Wonderful atmosphere. Price performance bomb😍
Very disapointed. We had reserved a table in the inner courtyard and we found ourselves seated inside, next to the toilets directly in the passage (not great for the physical distancing necessary during the covid pandemic ...) while tables were free outside. After being pushed around several times, I preferred to leave for another much more welcoming place.
Very pleasant backyard terrace. Great atmosphere. Delicious, inexpensive food including a starter. Attentive, nice staff. Decent coffee.
I have never eaten Italian so badly. We went here for my wife's birthday because I wanted to give her a nice evening because of the high rating. Pro: the wait staff are really nice and try hard. Inquiries about the dishes (i.e. knowing your own menu) were answered with ignorance and had to be asked in the kitchen - but that's not so bad. Really super nice staff, full marks here, very young staff - I don't see the card that closely. Nice trattoria feeling inside and out. Con: we wanted the full program of three courses, bottled wine, etc., etc. My wife had ordered Vitello tonnato, I had a salad with burrata, we both tried each other. I doubt the tonnato sauce is homemade. The caper berries scattered over the dish cannot hide that. There is a certain severity of white vinegar inherent in the finished industrial sauces - this sauce had that in its entirety. Tasted delicious like Metro / s. The veal is also much better - if it looks like roast pork from the supermarket, the meat is a bit of a shame. The inside of the burrata wasn't even creamy, let alone runny, as is the case with a fresh burrata. This one was already crumbling, so old goods from the expiry date, and that on a Saturday evening. The (kitchen) logistics don't seem to work really well. At the price, I just expect decent products. I can already imagine that the kitchen is not the best in a restaurant in this location. The fact that there is no oven available to bake bread in such a location is somehow manageable. If you buy from a decent Italian baker - there should be one or the other in Cologne. But the fact that you are served wholemeal bread in a supposedly Italian restaurant (Rewe?) On Saturday evening with the remark that the bread is out, that's something very special. In fact, it was the first time that I had wholemeal bread at the Italian restaurant. A type of bread that Italy is known for after all. / s Folks, just say: there is no bread - sorry, we blew it. But delivering something like that is just embarrassing. Even a pizzeria in the Swabian province bakes its own bread or buys appropriate products - I speak from experience. All in all, we canceled the rest of the order, emptied the bottle of wine (the Didyme was very tasty!) And went to the Alborz, because at least you knew what you were getting. The hype surrounding this place is completely unjustified - maybe we were just unlucky, but several blunders in the league make me think that all the good reviews come from people who have only a limited knowledge of food and / or are familiar with it of the atmosphere and Il Bagutta is currently a hip location that benefits from this typical Cologne hype. I'm a little sorry for the staff who really do a great job there. It's also a shame about the really nice atmosphere in the shop, but at least in our case the kitchen couldn't keep the promise that the reviews made.
A real recommendation! Great and informal atmosphere and great service. Visited again, was great again. Tip: reserve a table outside. Great courtyard
Delicious ! Unfortunately, sometimes you have the feeling that you have to ask the waiter three times ... but when you are served, it is nice all around.
Perhaps the best in town.
Very nice restaurant with nice service and perfect food!
nice food, nice staff.
Really good restaurant and good was also good, but we were ignored by waiter in order to bring our order and we had leave the location without having couple of items.
Delicious, Italian food, good service, fair prices
Incredible pasta and starter bread. Some of the tastiest food I’ve ever had.
Amazing restaurant right down the street from me. We were lucky to get a table for four and we ordered the three course meal. The kids ordered calamari. I don't want to go into too much detail about the food here but is absolutely amazing. Really superb texture colour and taste. The waitress give us two wines to try when we asked for dry red wine. Both were excellent but we went with the Syrah. Excellent wine pairing here My children who are normally very picky eaters when travelling overseas gave the calamari two thumbs up. Not much more to say than that... 5 stars.
Excellent
Delicious Italian, great creations, no 0815-food but properly Mediterranean arranged. Good, simple ambience, very friendly staff that also special requests quickly and without extra charge arranged. Here we always like to come!
An insider tip of the extra class! Super delicious food can also be combined as a menu. Friendly service. I will gladly come again.
Perfect
Nice little Italian restaurant with great food. Recommend the pasta with funghi
MEGA
Great cosy place, enjoy fresh pasta.
A very special place. So cozy and special. The service was super friendly, the pasta and the wine were delicious. Two nice hours
Grilled octopus for the win!
Il Bagutta is one of my favorite Italians in Cologne. Outstanding food and very good wines in a great atmosphere. Very nice and attentive waiters complete the positive overall impression. We always like to come back! PS: reservation recommended.
Very nice and cozy restaurant with good Italian food.
Always a good choice
Lovely Italian restaurant, very busy (booking recommended) with friendly service and great authentic food.
Amazing, we went for the lunch menu and didn't disappoint. Spot on fresh made pasta and a friendly service.
